Junction 2 announces stage splits and design for 2022 festival

Junction 2 has revealed its stage splits and set design for its 2022 edition in a new location.

This year's edition is set to take place in Trent Park, North London, on June 18 and 19 - attendees are excited and ready with a stellar line-up which spans a multitude of styles within electronic music.

There are six brand-new stage concepts; The Arches, The Stealth, The Observatory, The Tunnel, The Dome and The Speaker’s Corner which are all debuting in this year's edition.

The Arches will be where many of the live acts will be playing; it will be seeing the likes of Jon Hopkins, George Fitzgerald, Max Cooper and more.

The Stealth is an expansive, open-air stage which will be providing lots of room for the whole J2 crowd to dance. The stage will be seeing the likes of Four Tet, Amelie Lens, TSHA, Hessle Audio, Maceo Plex.

Meanwhile, The Observatory has a stretched canvas roof - something that will make the stage feel more intimate where revellers can feel as though they are one within an ecosystem. Expect to see Maribou State, Effy, Dixon, Chaos in the CBD, FJAAK DJ, and more.

Providing a sanctuary for those who want a more dark, underground experience; The Tunnel is a long rectangular corridor where attendees will have their sense of sight narrowed but their audio experience enhanced. This stage will host icons such as Peach, Blawan, Romy, Theo Nasa, Avalon Emerson, and Mount Kimbie.

Similarly, The Dome promises to close the sound in, making for a cosy listening experience where revellers can still let loose in dance. Here there will be Jossy Mitsu, Tasha and more.

The Speaker's Corner will be hosting artist-led discussions and events throughout the day, with each discussion delving into topics that are relevant to the contemporary music scene and issues that artists themselves are facing.

Speaking on this exciting announcement, Jeff Gray, Promoter at Junction 2 says: “We are delighted to be able to show everyone what we envisage for Junction 2’s 2022 home of Trent Park. It’s safe to say that for this year’s festival we have gone beyond anything we have done before and our team is working around the clock to ensure it’s going to be a very special weekend.

"The investment that has gone into the sound and production will top what we have spent in previous years and we cannot wait to celebrate this momentous occasion with you all and some of the world’s very finest selectors.”
