Tom VR has invited four huge names in to remix his September-released 10-track LP, ‘Please Keep Shimmering’.

Midland, Lone, Peach, and Kareem Ali have all been handed the reigns to remix four separate tracks, with the first track released today via Seb Wildblood’s All My Thoughts.

“As of today a wonderful rework by Midland is available everywhere. I’ve admired Harry as a musician for a long time,” said Tom VR on the first released track. “In recent years he’s had a huge influence on me personally and on my creative approach.

“We talked about my album in the couple of years before its release, as I was working on my record for intergraded as well at the same time,” he said, pointing to one of three of Midland’s record labels.

While the pair have never released anything together in the past, Midland has released music from the Leeds-born producer via his intergraded imprint.

“He gave me multiple recommendations for album track order, advised on cutting/swapping tunes, and was basically the first DJ to play any tracks from it (early adopter of Achemore!) So kinda feels a bit full circle,” he added.

Tom’s ‘Please Keep Shimmering’ remix pack is also set to feature a remix of ‘Partner’ from Peach, a rework of ‘October’ from Lone, and another of ‘Soared Straight Through Me’ from Kareem Ali.

First released in September 2021, the 10-track LP marked the producer’s second album, the first since 2018’s ‘Films’.

“Other remixes will come down the line,” Tom said on the next three tracks. “I'll be sharing these as they come.”
