Aphex Twin’s Field Day vinyl exclusive is now selling for hundreds on eBay

The exclusive 12” was originally sold for £5, but all sold out on the day of the London festival

A Field Day exclusive Aphex Twin vinyl has rocketed in price after it sold out in one day.

With only 100 copies available the 12” was originally selling for £5 however people have been reselling the release for hundreds of pounds.

The vinyl became available prior to his headline slot at the electronic day festival Field Day which marks his return to performing after a four-year hiatus.

The bright pink 5-track release are now up for grabs on eBay at over 100 times its original price with the prices varying from a huge £699 and others at £299.

Real name, Richard D James, released a vinyl the last time headlined the festival in 2017 with a similar unmarked chartreuse sleeve but this release sold out almost immediately at the time.

His headline slot lasted an hour and a half and included AI images which at one stage saw his face morph on top of celebrities such as Stormzy, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX and the late SOPHIE.

The All Points East-partnered festival also saw the likes of Fever Ray, Kelela, Arca, Jon Hopkins, Bonobo, SBTRKT, Jayda G, Actress, Moderat, Sudan Archives and Mount Kimbie's Kai Campos perform.
