Stormzy has been announced as the first headliner of London’s All Points East festival in 2023.

Taking place on Friday, August 18 at Victoria Park in East London, Stormzy is set to play his debut show at the annual event, and will also curate the entire day of the festival.

‘This Is What We Mean Day’, playing on the name of his forthcoming record ‘This Is What I Mean’, will take place on the Friday featuring live bands and a yet-to-be-announced line-up, according to Stormzy.

In a video posted on Instagram yesterday, Stormzy narrates: “After tour, I was thinking, what’s next? What are we gonna do next? I’ve done three O2 shows and shut that down. I said to the team we gotta do something bigger, something better, something different.

“We were having back-to-back meetings bouncing ideas. Then it hit me, and I started jotting down ideas thinking: live band, need a live band,” he added.

“August 2023, a summertime thing outside for the people, always for my people. So August 2023, Victoria Park, more info coming soon…. This Is What We Mean Day. Hard,” he concluded.
