Coachella’s festival rules also state that protocol “may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies.”

These changes may include “proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings.”

These changes are following California’s new state-wide end of mandatory masks that was put in place yesterday.

Masks in California are still required to be worn for some settings such as schools, public transport, healthcare, and unvaccinated people within churches.
