KOKO to reopen in April with shows from Gilles Peterson, Honey Dijon and more

There will also be club nights at the venue with Annie Mac, Jayda G and Mall Grab

KOKO London will be reopening for gigs and events in April after announcing a grand re-opening in October.

This follows a £70 million restoration and redevelopment. The venue has recently announced a huge list of names that fans can expect to see at the iconic Camden venue.

Lianne La Havas, a Grammy Award winner, will kick things off with a three-day residency from May 9 to 11.

Also performing is Gilles Peterson (May 14), Honey Dijon (May 19), DJ Seinfeld ( May 20), Jorja Smith (May 26) and Amaarae (May 31).

Koko Electronic is a new club night and event that will take over the main theatre on Friday and Saturday evenings until 6:AM, featuring the most exciting electronic music artists and brands from around the world, ranging from house, techno, and disco to world music and rap.

There are some huge DJs and producers on the line-up including Annie Mac, India Jordan, Mall Grab, Kettama, Chloe Robinson, Kerri Chandler, CC:Disco!, Helena Star, Eats Everything, Jayda G, Jamie 3:26, Jaguar, Ruby Savage, Scratcha DVA, Todd Terje and more.

As reported in Music Week, Andy Peyton KOKO’s Head of Electronic said: “It’s never been a more exciting time to mark a new chapter for electronic music in the capital. London is a global epicentre of talent and Koko Electronic will be a great new addition to this amazing city.”

The iconic venue's £70 million investment includes substantial repair of the water-damaged theatre and burned copper dome, as well as a state-of-the-art reconstruction of the new project in collaboration with English Heritage.

KOKO will open in a new membership tier system. Members of The House of Koko will have access to a new roof terrace and conservatory, as well as a new dome cocktail bar, penthouse and recording studio, piano room, library, a secret speakeasy, stage kitchen, and vinyl rooms.
