Eats Everything goes In Session

Having DJed everywhere from Siberia to the Natural History Museum, Eats Everything knows how to get around – and now he's contributed the newest addition to our In Session series with an intense, satiating mix.

Dan Pearce, originally from Bristol, is a regular face in Ibiza and fondly recalls his early days partying on the island since 1997, which only further ignited his passion for straight-talking house and techno.

Those formative moments of getting into trouble on the White Isle transformed into feeling comfortable regularly appearing at every super club in the vicinity. Now he’s a long-time member of Elrow, renowned for its flamboyant production and extravagant parties, as well as often playing at Carl Cox’s takeovers.

Having found his passion for DJing at the ripe age of 12 after getting his first set of decks, it quickly became full steam ahead after successful releases on Dirtybird and Pets Recordings. With releases on Carl Cox’s INTEC label, a weekly radio show following his BBC Radio 1 residency, and his own label Edible releasing records from the likes of Mele and Seb Zito, it doesn’t look like Pearce has any intention of slowing down.

But Pearce has also somewhat become a man of the people, sharing comical Instagram posts of old DJ shots and montages of cleaning Fatboy Slim’s house. More importantly, he’s also attached his name to humanitarian causes like Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, having organised charity raves and donating his fees, all in the effort to improve safe drinking water facilities in parts of India and Africa.

Now, he’s in the process of building a new label, EI8HT, alongside Andres Campo, with the ambition of combining the well-known direct style of European techno with a British flair. His mix reflects this, carried by a steady and seamless driving bass, journeying between more mysterious sounds, an uplifting bounce and playful vocal samples.

Featuring his newest track ‘Rollathonic’ as well as tracks from D-Unity and DJ Deep, this is a mix that constantly builds into a frenzy of solid, forceful bass. Dan, we salute you.
