Movement Detroit finalizes its 2019 line-up
DJ Nobu, Yaeji and Floorplan tapped for the festival's final day
Movement Detroit has finalized the line-up for its 2019 festival.
After teasing 10 of the festival's headliners back in December, this latest announcement adds new and toothsome dimensions to the festival's eye-catching collection of house, techno and hip hop artists.
Hometown Detroit heroes such as Kenny Larkin, Octave One, Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen and Seth Troxler are set to perform on the festival's opening day. Techno phenomenon and Mixmag cover star Amelie Lens is booked too, alongside Neil Landstrumm, Umfang, Maya Jane Coles, Art Department and Loco Dice. Live acts for Movement's Saturday run include Marie Davidson, Orbital, Tin Man and Wajatta who will be making their Detroit debut.
Movement's Sunday programming boasts a techno-heavy line-up with a choice selection of beloved house artists. On the techno front, artists such as Richie Hawtin, Charlotte de Witte, Volvox, Chris Liebing, Heiko Laux and ANNA will be taking the stage while Pattrick Topping, Fisher and Kevin Saunderson playing b2b with The Saunderson Brothers will offer up some less menacing dancefloor grooves. Also, both Danny Brown and Gucci Mane will be serving up a significant dose of hip hop.
Monday will features performances from techno dons DJ Nobu, Detroit Techno Militia 2x4, Stephan Bodzin and more. The Advent, Mathew Jonson, FJAAK and hometown heroes Floorplan, Shigeto and Audion (aka Matthew Dear) will all be performing live sets on the festival's final day. Other bookings include Yaeji, DJ Bone, Ciel, Justin Cudmore, DJ Tennis, Chris Lake, Danny Daze, Madlib and more.
