Skrillex, Fred again.. and Four Tet announce surprise show at Madison Square Garden
The trio are set to take over the iconic, 20,000-capacity NYC arena in just three days time
Skrillex, Fred again.. and Four Tet have just announced a surprise show at New York's Madison Square Garden, set to take place in three days time (February 18).
The trio, alongside a number of collaborators and guests, will play the headline slot at the iconic 20,000-capacity indoor arena.
Announcing the news via a series of cryptic billboards in Tokyo, with no context other than the names of artists set to appear — including Missy Elliot, PinkPantheress, Noisia, Flowdan, Kid Cudi, Yung Lean, Bladee and more.

All three took to Instagram to announce the surprise show. Skrillex and Fred again.. posted clips of the three walking around Manhattan with the ticket link: "New York we are throwing a party at Madison Square Garden this Saturday."
While Four Tet posted a picture of himself and the two producers on top of the Empire State Building wearing a "OMG MSG" t-shirt, with the caption: "Madison Square Garden NYC Saturday 18th February. We start at 7:PM."
Fred again.. teased the announcement yesterday (February 14) following another sold-out "secret" Valentines Day party at NYC's Good Room — writing "Good Room that was so fun, we're going to announce another date."
Shortly after the announcement, Fred Again.. revealed that the idea behind the party had come from a conversation with Four Tet
"When I played a rave in NY wit @fourtetkieran a couple of months ago in a basement club, Kieran came up stairs at 3:AM or whatever it was. And goes 'Ok Fred this was good, but I've got an idea'"
"'You me and Sonny should play a rave, We should announce it the same we would a last minute pop up show. We Should play back to back for 5 hours. And It should be at Madison Square Garden. I said Ok."

He later posted: "I'm getting messages from people that this has already sold-out, this is insane."
Last week Skrillex confirmed that his new album 'Quest For Fire', which is set for release on the same day as the Madison Square Garden show. Many of the album's collaborators are set to appear on the line-up.
