Motion Bristol announces its first line-ups for 2022

Bristol club Motion has announced its line-ups for the beginning of the 2022 season.

Kicking off on January 21, Possession will take over the club space, headlined by Hadone. Other names on the club’s listing for the rest of the month include Ewan McVicar, Dan Shake and Charlie Boon.

February will see Solardo, Floating Points, Helena Star, Will Atkinson and Adam Beyer play the venue, amongst others.

The final names of the first phase have been announced for March, too: Skream, La La, Camelphat and 2021 Mixmag Cover Star LSDXOXO Cover Star LSDXOXO have been announced by the Bristol club.

On the announcement, Motion’s Travis Derrick tells Mixmag: “We are elated to share with everyone our first line-ups for 2022, we are extremely proud of this first phase of shows and wanted to make sure that we started the year with a bang. With everything from house to drum ‘n’ bass, disco to techno and so much more, there is an incredibly diverse range of events featuring some of the best artists within each genre.”

“Motion has moved away from the idea of a single ‘club season’ in the winter, with a continuous stream of huge shows all year round. We feel this first phase is the perfect start to rolling out massive shows throughout every season this year, starting as we mean to go on.”

The announcement builds on from Motion’s 20-show programme announced in 2020 - inevitably disrupted due to the pandemic - and embraces the venue’s long-time virtues of collaboration and cooperation.
