Act one of jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy will be out in February

A new trailer of Netflix’s Kanye West documentary jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy has been dropped.

Act one is to be released in cinemas February 10 and will also be out on Netflix February 16.

With over 21 years in the making, jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, Netflix’s three-part documentary will show the life of the artist and feature never-seen-before footage of Ye.

In this latest teaser, we see clips from the making of ‘DONDA’ alongside older footage including a shot of him getting his jaws wired shut after his car accident in 2002 that inspired the song ‘Through The Wire’.

West says in the trailer: “I’m about to hand you the world, just know at any given time I could take it away from you.”

The documentary has been directed by Clarence "Coodie" Simmons and Chike Ozah, better known as Coodie & Chike who have both worked on music videos for the likes of Erykah Badu, Pitbull, Mos Def, and Lupe Fiasco.

The film will premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival this month with them marking the documentary as: “Kanye West in three acts. The story beyond the iconic music, an intimate and empathetic chronicle featuring never-before-seen footage from 21 years in the life of a captivating figure.”

Clips that were released last year of the documentary showed Mos Def and Kanye singing the lyrics to West’s 2004 released ‘Two Words’ as well as a ‘Director on Director’ video.
