On August 19, Aphex Twin returned to the stage in London for the first time in four years to perform at Field Day, where he took over the headline slot for a full 90 minutes.

The 90-minute set is available to watch through a VR headset and can be listened back in higher quality with stereo audio.
During his performance, Aphex Twin’s Weirdcore-collaborative visuals could be seen on screen alongside AI-generated videos stitching his face on top of artists including Stormzy, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX and the late SOPHIE.
Charli XCX has since responded to her face being used during Aphex Twin’s performance, commenting: “I’ve officially made it” under a video clip from his show.

The hour-and-a-half set from Aphex Twin was followed up with an exclusive Field Day vinyl that rocketed in price after selling out in just one day. Only 100 copies were sold at just £5 each and were shortly selling for hundreds on eBay after the event.
This weekend, September 2, Aphex Twin is set to return to Bristol for the first time since 2006 with a headline performance at FORWARDS festival.
