LCD Soundsystem and Jai Paul confirmed for London’s All Points East 2024

Sofia Kourtesis, Floating Points and Jockstrap are also on the bill on August 23

LCD Soundsystem have been announced as the second headliner for London’s All Points East Festival, set to take place next August across two weekends.

The electronic rock outfit are set to head on stage on Friday, August 23, marking their first return to the festival since headlining the inaugural edition in 2018.

Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation of Language, Eyedress, and a live set from Sofia Kourtesis are also lined up for August 23, as well as a special performance from the elusive Jai Paul, who made his live debut at Coachella earlier this year.

The announcement follows a reveal of the first headliner announced for next year’s event, Loyle Carner, who will perform the weekend earlier on Saturday, August 17.

Loyle Carner will be joined by Ezra Collective, Nas, Joe James, ENNY, Sainté and Navy Blue on the day, with more yet to be announced.

Last year, LCD Soundsystem released their first new track in over five years, ‘New Body Rhumba’, created for a new Netflix film titled White Noise.

Before their recent single, the US group last released original music in 2017 with the 11-track record ‘American Dream’, which was later followed up with a live album in 2019, ‘Electric Lady Sessions’.

In 2023, frontman James Murphy explained that the band are “stepping out of the usual touring cycle”, with a recent announcement of a string of dates around New York City. They’re due to perform at both Terminal 5 and Knockdown Centre throughout December.

“Maybe we’ll just play other places next year, moving around to cities we like to play, where we’re wanted, etc,” he explained in a statement to fans last year.

Tickets for LCD Soundsystem at All Points East go on sale on Friday, December 6, at 9:AM starting at £54.95. Grab yours here.
