Lady Of The House launches new record label for women and non-binary producers
Becky Hill, Charlie tee, Jaguar and Sam Divine will be acting as A&Rs
The team behind the Lady Of The House exhibition have launched their own label in hopes to platform some of the best women and non-binary talent in underground music.
Lady Of The House Recordings was announced at Panel Brighton Music Conference on Thursday, May 26 — and comes off the back of Lady Of The House's exhibition which took place on International Women's Day and the release of a book of the same name.
As part of the label's aim of shining a light on the best electronic music talent - it is launching a month-long competition for women and non-binary producers to submit a track, which could be from any electronic music genre.

The competition will be judged by four Lady Of The House "Godmothers" - BRIT Best Dance Act Becky Hill; BBC Radio 1's Charlie Tee; BBC Radio 1's Jaguar; and Defected's Sam Divine.
These powerhouse women will be acting as A&Rs throughout the process, and will be using their expertise to help guide the label in the right direction.
The four best submissions will be released on the new label with the winners set to enjoy an impressive support and mentoring package.

The competition is open to all emerging women and non-binary acts and closes on June 30. You can submit your demo here.
Speaking on the launch of the new label, Jaguar says: “I love everything that Lady of The House stands for, and it's an honour to lend my ears to help them pick a winner for their new label.
"There's still a huge disparity in female and non-binary producers and this type of label is exactly how we will level the playing field. I can't wait to hear all the music and champion more excellent emerging artists.”
Echoing this, Sam Divine says: "For someone who has ran my own record label for 7 years I know how important it is to give up and coming producers a platform.
"It’s an exciting time for women in the industry right now and I can’t wait to stuck in and support these women on their journey.”
