Junction 2 announces cancellation of 2022 event

The festival was set to go ahead at Trent Valley park next weekend

Junction 2 festival will no longer be going ahead due to ongoing London Transport Network strike action, organisers have announced in a statement.

The two-dayer was set to kick off on Saturday, June 18, through Sunday, June 19 at Trent Valley Park, North London — with headliners such as Four Tet, Anz, Skee Mask, Ben Klock, Blawan, Octo Octa b2b Eris Drew, and more.

Next weekend's event was set to be the first Junction 2 in three years, with a series of postponements due to the pandemic.

The festival cited forthcoming strike action on various train lines across the city and a license withdrawal from Enfield Council as the reasoning for the cancellation.

In a statement Junction 2 wrote: "We are devastated to announce that due to ongoing strike action taking place across the London Transport Network, and its potential impact on Junction 2 festival-goers, Enfield Council have taken the decision to withdraw Trent Valley Park as the venue for our event."

"We take huge pride in the curation and delivery of our events and with our local partners, we are committed to resolving the transport challenges. After a 3 year wait, a weekend expected to run at full capacity and the site build about to commence, we are in disbelief at this decision."

Junction 2 confirmed ticketholders would be automatically refunded for the cancellation, with those who have bought their tickets through Ticket Tannoy being urged to email tickettannoy@junction2.london.
