New Dublin nightclub Racket reveals line-ups for Autumn/Winter season

New nightclub Racket has announced its Autumn/Winter roster — including Jossy Mitsu, Coucou Chloe, Novelist, Young Marco, Sicaria Sound, aya and Plastician.

Based in Phibsborough, Dublin, the new venue includes a recording studio and record shop.

Racket's Autumn/Winter line-up will kick off with Irish rapper Citrus Fresh on Saturday and have Plastician close the season on December 23.

The club itself incorporates a triangle-shaped stage with an 8ft screen falling in front of the stage.

Available from September 30, Racket’s recording studio can be booked out for use on podcasts, mixes and even as a meeting room.

In April this year, Dublin also had Barcelona-based collective Temporary Pleasure revealed its working on building a brand new nightclub in the heart of the city.

After the announcement of last year’s What Makes A Club workshops teaching lessons in community-based club curation, the group have now come together to work on their biggest project to date.

“We transform vacant buildings into temporary cultural spaces through participatory design workshops,” reads the architecture collective’s case for support.

“By engaging and educating locals in the design process, we empower communities to self-build DIY venues, responding to local needs and platforming local voices.”
