Defected unveils full line-up for Malta debut

Kerri Chandler, Nightmares On Wax, and Natasha Diggs are all set to headline

Long-serving record label and house music favourites Defected has announced a full plate of names for its debut event in Malta this summer.

Landing on the island on October 7, Defected Malta spans three days until October 9 with a phenomenal line-up to go alongside this year’s inaugural event.

Headliners this year include Kerri Chandler, Dan Shake, Natasha Diggs, Nightmares On Wax, Todd Edwards, and Carl Craig.

Taking place next to the Mediterranean Sea, Defected Malta is set to the backdrop of the island's Northern region in St Paul’s Bay.

“Malta has always been on our radar. It’s a beautiful place, we went over for a site visit last year and were shown around all the unique locations and venues and it blew us away,” says Defected’s Director of Events, George Pritchard.

“We knew straight away we couldn’t not do a festival there. I think it’s a great offering as an extension to our Defected Croatia festival which sells out year on year, it gives other people a chance to come to an alike experience in a different territory.”

Accompanying this year’s headliners, more acts announced this year include Basement Jaxx, Heidi, Melé, Fat Tony, Sam Divine, Kitty Amor, Gorgon City, and Archie Hamilton.

“The line-up is different with exciting new talent like Kerri Chandler who we’ve not booked for years and we are excited to see what the Maltese energy brings us,” says Pritchard.

Defected promises to bring multiple stages to the island over the weekend with a host of day and night parties from both long-running label favourites and new, up-and-coming artists with stages from spin-off imprints Glitterbox, Classic Music Company, Sondela and 4 To The Floor.

Defected Malta takes place for the first time on October 7 - 9. Find out more about the inaugural event here.
