The Prodigy have announced a limited edition vinyl reissue of their influential 1997-released record ‘The Fat Of The Land’ to mark its 25th anniversary.

The reworked record is due for release on November 4 via XL Recordings in a limited number of silver vinyl copies and a “reimagined” version of the record’s original artwork by Alex Jenkins.

The LP turned 25 yesterday, June 30, a record which received global acclaim upon release in ’97 and dominated the charts in both the UK and US, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.

In a reimagination of the seminal record, the band called upon drum ’n’ bass legend Andy C to rework hit track ‘Firestarter’, which came alongside tracks such as ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, ‘Fuel My Fire’ and ‘Breathe’ on the original release.

Alongside a reissued version of the record, The Prodigy also announced a tour off the back of the alum’s anniversary kicking off next month. The group are set to play a string of shows in the UK, all of which are now sold out.

Speaking on the tour, the band said: “We can’t wait to get back on stage to play our tunes for the people again. The 25th anniversary of ‘Fat Of The Land’ felt like the right time for us to step up.
