Radiohead are rumoured to be preparing for their first tour in seven years.

As reported by Resident Advisor, a source close to the band is claiming that Radiohead have "placed holds in select European cities" for a proposed spate of shows in autumn.

The report comes following weeks of speculation around a possible tour from the seminal five-piece after tickets for "a Radiohead concert of your choice" were donated by the band's management to a charity auction to aid those affected by the recent LA wildfires, organised by Palisades High School.

According to Resident Advisor, the auction listing said that the winning bidder can choose their preferred city and date “based on the band's tour schedule." However the listing has now been changed, with "Four Premier Concert Tickets" for any of several high-profile acts is now listed as the prize — bids have also been reset.

Last week, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Radiohead's members had formed a new Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) called RHEUK25 on March 10 — a "historically a telltale sign" that a tour may be on the cards according to Pitchfork, who reported that the last time the band had formed an LLP was ahead of their last tour in 2018.

The band has remained characteristically tight-lipped in the wake of the rumours, and it seems unlikely that they'll give in to pressure from fans any time soon. In late 2024, frontman Thom Yorke - who recently toured with The Smile alongside Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood - told the Australian publication Double J that he “really doesn’t give a fuck" about fans' speculation surrounding potential Radiohead activity.

He added: "No offence to anyone and err, thanks for caring. But I think we've earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else's historical idea of what we should be doing."

In July, The Smile were forced to cancel its European tour after Greenwood "became seriously ill" from an infection, requiring a stay in intensive care — Greenwood was discharged a few days later.
