Picnic Records announces line-up for 11th Birthday party at fabric
Dr Banana B2B Alec Falconer, Ethel & Melody, Gabbs, Andy Luff and Sweely among the artists who will play at the nine-hour dance
Long-running London based party crew and record label Picnic have announced plans for its 11th birthday celebrations.
Taking place at fabric on March 25 and running until 8:AM, the nine-hour, multiple rooms knees up brings together a number of long-time friends, regulars and special guests, who will bring their record bags of deep digs and rarities in classic Picnic style.
So far, acts announced for the party are Dr Banana B2B Alec Falconer, Gabbs, Mother Earth, Hamish & Toby, Sweely, along with co-founder and resident Andy Luff.
There will also be special guests who are yet to be announced.
Speaking to Mixmag about the celebrations, Picnic co-founder Tom Ashplant said: "We are proud to present the first names for our Saturday night blockbuster at fabric. A solid mixture of in house talent combined with some of our favourite guests is the perfect remedy for whats set to be another stellar night in Farringdon. Another year older, another year wilder so they say.
"fabric has very much become engrained into our history having celebrated our last 3 birthdays there. That said we are also very much engrained in the history of the club being the first outside promotor to take over the Saturday night program since the dance institution opened," he continued.

"fabric offers so much as a venue and for us as a party. It gives us the opportunity to program 3 rooms with top quality music from friends and close affiliates of Picnic. An opportunity rarely found on the club circuit. This year we are back with our best offering yet!"

The celebrations come after Picnic announced the launch of its agency, Picnic Artists, last year, with the likes of Gabbs, EYA Records label head Jos, Mother Earth, Pelle, pH Project and Loa Szala on the roster.
Last week (January 2023), fabric announced the initial line-up for its debut festival Exodus, which will take place outside of its hallowed EC1 home.
Running for two days across the weekend of July 8-9 at a secret location that will not be revealed until the event, on the bill are club favourites Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, DVS1, Anna Wall and Francesco Del Garda, as well as up-and-coming talents including Sugar Free, Ash Lauryn and Chloé Caillet.
