New queer party coming to central London, MILK

A new queer party is coming to new central London 2000-capacity venue HERE.

MILK will launch in September and will be bringing parties to Charing Cross Road, all of which will feature some of the biggest and best names in the queer underground.

Edition One of MILK is set to take place on September 22, and the party will be welcoming Hercules Love Affair, Panorama Bar’s Roi Perez, Adonis' Hannah Holland, Josh Caffe, Dan Beaumont of Chapter 10, Queer House Party’s Harry Gay and Nite Dykez’ Gin & Mica.

This will be Hercules Love Affair’s first live set in London since 2018, and comes right off the back of their recent album ‘In Amber’.

These DJs will play everything from house, techno, electro, afrobeats, garage and UK funky. Whatever your music taste, you’ll now be able to find it in central London.

MILK will take place at the new central London venue HERE. The newly developed venue will be the first brand-new live entertainment site in the region of central London since the 1940s.

Developed by the team behind the refurbishment of Tottenham Court Road station, this venue is located under London’s historic Denmark St - not far from Soho Square Garden or Phoenix Theatre.

The club is located four floors underground and features 23,000 sq. ft. of space, incredible sound and lighting, and a floor-to-ceiling 16K screen.

Leo Green, the venue’s Artistic Director said: “From a venue standpoint, this is the most exciting development that has happened to London’s Music, Arts & Culture scene in a very long time.”

The party promises to represent a cross-section of London’s Queer and Trans nightlife community - and has even brought in Liverpool-born portrait photographer Matt Ford to do some of the photography and artwork for the MILK party series.

All of the images make reference to Leigh Bowery of Soho and the vibrant and varied origins of the LGBT scene. The MILK promises to close a hole in London's nightlife scene by being both bold and empowering.

Tickets for the opening party are on sale now. Get them here.
