Aphex Twin, Disclosure, James Blake and more receive GRAMMY nominations

Flowdan has received his first-ever nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Recording with ‘Rumble’ alongside Skrillex and Fred again..

Aphex Twin, Disclosure, James Blake and more receive GRAMMY nominations

The nominees for the 2024 GRAMMY Awards have been revealed, with a number of electronic acts receiving their first ever nods this year.

Due to take place on February 5, at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, the 2024 GRAMMYs will be introducing a number of new categories, including: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording.

Fred Again.. holds the most nominations in the dance music-based categories with three, whilst also gaining a nomination as Best New Artist.

Those up for Best Dance/Electronic Recording include Aphex Twin for ‘Blackbox Life Recorder 21f’, Disclosure for ‘Higher Than Ever Before’, James Blake for ‘Loading’, Romy and Fred Again.. for ‘Strong’ as well as Skrillex, Fred Again.. and Flowdan for ‘Rumble’.

This marks Flowdan and Romy’s first GRAMMY nomination.

The nominees for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album are James Blake for ‘Playing Robots Into Heaven’, The Chemical Brothers for ‘For That Beautiful Feeling’, Fred Again.. for ‘Actual Life 3’, Kx5 (Deadmau5 and Kaskade) for ‘Kx5’ and Skrillex for ‘Quest For Fire’.

Nominated for the GRAMMY’s newest category, Best Pop Dance Recording are Bebe Rexha and David Guetta for ‘One in a Million’, Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding for ‘Miracle’, David Guetta, Anne-Marie and Coi Leray for ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’, Kylie Minogue for ‘Padam Padam’ and Troye Sivan for ‘Rush’.

Producer Of The Year for Non-Classical music are Jack Antonoff, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, Hit-Boy, Metro Boomin and Daniel Nigro.

Best Remixed Recording nominations are to remixes by BADBADNOTGOOD, Dom Dolla, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Wet Leg, Terry Hunter.
