“It has been wonderful with the fullness of time and some hindsight, to revisit such a seismic event in both mine and my hometown’s history,” says Fatboy Slim, AKA Norman Cook, on the new documentary.

“Warts and all, the story told in full…. Watch, sleep, rave, repeat,” he said. Right Here, Right Now chronicles the story surrounding Big Beach Boutique II through interviews and original footage from the event, described by Norman as a “Woodstock moment”.

The documentary also highlights police struggles as hundreds of thousands of people descended on Brighton beach, as well as interviews with councillors and locals who opposed the gathering.
