Body Movements announce crews for second edition

Body Movements has announced the crews that attendees can expect to see in the second edition of the festival, which will be taking place in Hackney Wick in late July.

The day-long event is aiming to platform the best LGBTQ+ artists and DJs.

In a press statement, the festival said: "Body Movement will again invite a kaleidoscopic collection of LGBTQI+ crews from UK / European dance music movement for a day of collective joy; sharing stages, dancefloors, energy, and body movements."

This July they will be welcoming back some of the biggest collectives in dance music, and inviting along some collectives who weren't seen at the last event.

The line-up of collectives and parties who will be present in the July 2022 edition includes Pxssy Palace, Little Gay Brother, A D O N I S, Inferno, MARICAS, HUNGAMA, Daytimers, He.She.They, Misery, Nite Dykez, and Lezzer Quest.

In the first edition of the festival, over 100 queer artists took to the stage and gave performances and sets across 17 iconic venues in Hackney Wick.

This year, the festival says that it is: "ecstatic to present to you the collectives who will perform and host stages during the day & night at this year's Body Movements, with some existing and new unused spaces as well as the addition of workshops and community talks."

Clayton Wright, Co-Founder of Body Movements, says: "Year 1 showed us queer utopias exist. Year 2 is about making even more noise to celebrate the diverse talent and people that make this clubbing community so exciting and important."

The sentiment is echoed by Co-Founder DJ Saoirse who said: "In year 1 Body Movements captivated the stunning beauty & importance of the queer grass-roots movement taking up space, a melting pot of sounds, cultures, identities, dancers, looks and power.”
