People are confused by 50 Cent appearing upside down at the Super Bowl

People are confused by 50 Cent appearing upside down at the Super Bowl

50 Cent dropped into the Super Bowl half-time show upside down last night, and it has left a lot of people confused.

The rapper made a surprise appearance in the 2022 Super Bowl half-time show by performing his 2003 classic, 'In Da Club', hanging upside down from the ceiling — an ode to the track's iconic music video.

He rapped the track after Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s initial 'The Next Episode' and 'California Love'.

Also in reference to the original music video, Fifty could be seen in a white headband.

The rapper was not on the pre-released line-up which featured Dr Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg.

The appearance left some watchers confused about why he was upside down. One viewer tweeted: "Why was 50 Cent upside down like Dracula??"

In response to the confused reactions, some began tweeting out statements such as "if she didn’t know why 50 cent was upside down she’s too young for you".

Of course, this performance also birthed several memes and became a staple talking point for the entirety of the match.

This year's half-time performance also featured Anderson .Paak drumming drumming and Eminem taking a knee.
