16 abandoned buildings that would make mind-blowing clubs

Imagine

The world is awash with abandoned buildings. Once great structures that have fallen to the ravages of time, like Shelley's depiction of Ozymandias.

There’s beauty in the ruins, but if renovation is on the agenda, what better solution than turning them into clubs?

While there’s charm in peeling-walled basements and squashed alleyway clubs, something about grand buildings transformed into pumping party spots in tantalising.

Imagine what the Trocadero could be if Four Tet got his way, or the campaign to get a disused Thames Fort turned into ‘Berghain-on-sea’ succeeded.

Check out a gallery above of some prime spots across the globe we’d love to see given a dance music makeover, including castles, theme parks, power plants and communist headquarters. Did somebody say crowd fund?
