Printworks announces list of shows for "Final Season"
The Surrey Quays venue is set to be shuttered for redevelopment from May 1
Printworks London has announced the roster for its "Final Season" — a series of 40 shows that will conclude with an unannounced final event on May 1.
Earlier this month, the nightclub shared a cryptic post on Instagram hinting at its imminent closure with the graphic reading: "2016-2023" after Southwark Council approved plans for its renovation this year.
The Surrey Quays nightclub opened back in 2017 within a former Evening Standard printing press, before it was transformed into a 6000-capacity venue.

Running from February 4 to May 1, the season kicks off with Body Movements' first-ever winter edition on February 4 — with LGBTQIA+ promoters Adonis, Big Dyke Energy, Chapter 10, High Hoops, Little Gay Brother and more set to bring their signature slice of hedonism to the press halls.
Other parties announced include ANTS on February 5, DnB Allstars on February 19, Patrick Topping’s TRICK on March 24, and, alongside its annual conference, AVA London will be returning to the venue on February 24.
Closing weekend show across April 28 - May 1 have yet to be announced.
Despite the announcement of its "Final Season", Printworks operator Broadwick Live has not confirmed if this will be the last time Printworks opens as a nightclub.
“The huge response we’ve had to the announcement of the final season at Printworks – for now - shows how important this venue is for artists, audiences and the wider music community," Simeon Aldred, Head of Strategy and Co-Founder of Broadwick Live told Mixmag.
"We remain in productive talks with our landlord and partners at British Land about the venue’s future, with the long term ambition to return to our iconic Press Halls.”
Representatives for Broadwick told Mixmag in September, that "conversations" were ongoing with British Land — the owners of the Prinworks estate — over the possibility of including a venue within the planned "office-led redevelopment."
“At this point, we can confirm that the venue will close at some point in the New Year, for a number of years during a period of modernisation as planned," Broadwick confirmed on Twitter at the time.
