Pilgrims Of The Mind’s ‘What’s Your Shrine?’ gets vinyl release for 25th birthday
The first ever vinyl copies of the seminal album are set to be released on Heels & Souls
Heels & Souls are set to reissue the explosive 1997 album ‘What’s Your Shrine?’ by Pilgrims Of The Mind for its 25th anniversary.
It will be the first time that the record has ever made it to physical vinyl format after 25 years, and marks the label's fifth reissue.
‘What’s Your Shrine?’ first landed in ’97 from Canadian producer Pilgrims Of The Mind, real name Stephane Novak. Speaking on the reissue, Novak said: “I’m as excited today as I was 25 years ago when ‘What’s Your Shrine?’ first came out.

“To see this album released, its tracks beautifully remastered from the original DAT tapes and brought together on double-vinyl, in a gorgeous gatefold package.”
For the first ever time, ‘What’s Your Shrine?’ will get a gatefold double vinyl release, due to land today, December 9. 20% of the profits from the re-release will go toward Saffron, a non-profit organisation aiming to advance gender equality in music.
“‘What’s Your Shrine?’ is one of those timeless albums, equally as appropriate to soundtrack the dancefloor, the afters, or a long drive into the sunset,” said Heels & Souls on the reissue.

“The latter is the first time we heard it in full, and immediately we were captivated - each track twists and turns, Stephane armed with a bag full of off-kilter samples, synth wizardry and an energetic refusal to pigeonhole his music into any fixed style or sound.
“What a pleasure it’s been to work with him, and to reissue this gem for the first time on wax, 25 years since it first saw the light of day,” they added.
