Morgan Hislop announces debut album 'Ghostin' Me'

He has also dropped first single 'Apricity'

Morgan Hislop has just released a new track titled 'Apricity', taken from his forthcoming album 'Ghostin’ Me'.

'Apricity' is a melodic house-infused track which features elusive Lisbon-based vocalist jules. It is available to listen to now.

It features a sub-heavy 4x4 beat and soothing pads that build up and send dancers into a state of euphoria and happiness, all accompanied by a rhythm that will keep you moving.

Speaking about the new single, Morgan says: “With Apricity I wanted to challenge myself to maintain those trademark sounds I hear in my music - sparkling chopped vocals, saccharine melodies - but strip it back to its bare bones using analogue equipment to add a little grit.

"jules’ vocals had this fragility and ghostliness that juxtaposed well to the bouncing arpeggiated synth. It’s a big experiment ultimately, but I still feel like it’s noticeably one of mine - and it makes so much sense in the context of the LP.”

Alongside this single, Morgan has announced his debut album 'Ghostin’ Me' - which is set to be out on July 15.

Speaking on the album, Morgan says: "This has been such a huge labour of love I’ve poured so much of myself into this and so happy you get to hear this in its entirety soon."
