“Announcing this tape marks a huge milestone for me as an artist, this feels like the most tied together project I've applied myself to as an artist and for my fans who have been with me for years, I hope they can hear the signs of growth in me as an artist,” PinkPantheress said in a quote accompanying the announcement.
The first single from the mixtape is out now, ‘Tonight’, alongside a period drama-styled music video complete with horse and carriage, lavish country manor and aristocratic costumes.
In her recent Mixmag cover feature, she revealed her genre-bending sound will be expanding with more classic dance music influence, taken inspiration from artists such as Basementt Jaxx, Groove Armada and Fatboy Slim.
“I loved the size of the music,” she said. “All the music sounds so big and grand and present, and I really wanted to make music where it sounds like a statement is being made with the songs. I feel like that was what appealed to me, and it’s something that I wanted to take on board.”
