Manchester’s Summer Of Love Festival shares 2022 line-up

Taking place on August Bank Holiday weekend

Summer of Love Festival returns to Manchester’s city centre this year with a newly curated line-up.

After a strong debut edition in 2021, Summer Of Love returns for its second year now boasting a bill including the likes of Craig Richards, Eris Drew, Mr. G, Ben UFO, ARPIAR, and more.

Taking place amongst multiple unusual venues on a festival site in Manchester’s city centre, Summer Of Love took over car showrooms, abandoned warehouses, railway arches and the festival’s own event space, The Loft.

Summer Of Love 2022 takes place on August bank holiday weekend across two days. From August 27 - 28, the brand new festival celebrates both local and international talent.

“Following the energy of our first edition, we were determined to push the boundaries & expand the narrative of what defined Summer Of Love,” said festival promoters Animal Crossing.

“An annual occasion to bring people together in celebration of music, arts & wellness. It’s not every day you have a factory within the city centre to transform. We’re doubly excited to keep telling the story and sprinkle a little bit of joy across the August Bank Holiday weekend!”

This year, Mr. G tops the bill for his second Manchester appearance in a decade. Accompanying him is Romanian minimal crew ARPIAR made up of Raresh, Petre Insperecsu, and Rhadoo, and other big names such as Nicolas Lutz, Dyed Soundroom, tINI, and Margaret Dygas.

The festival also adds spaces for art, wellbeing, and its very own record store hosted by The Vinyl Factory, Palace Vinyl, Sub City, and Yoyaku, as well as an ‘Artist’s Corner’ set up with local gallery owner Joe Smonolsky.

“There has been such great ambition for year two and we're super proud of the picture that's been painted. To be welcoming such a list of amazing artists to Manchester fills us with joy knowing the creative experience that is still to be revealed,” said Animal Crossing.
