The festival is set to celebrate the “divine feminine,” and will see a variety of non-male acts perform all over Hackney Wick on April 9.

They will be taking over venues including Old Street Brewery, The Yard Courtyard, The Yard, Crate Brewery, Crate Terrace, Colour Factory, Colour Garden, The Lot, HWK Courtyard and Lord Napier Star.

Organised by a team of women from promoter Percolate, Risen is the first of its kind and aims to represent non-male individuals in the music industry — including areas such as sound engineering, lighting, and venue operations.

Alice Franklin — Co-Creator & Creative Director said: The response to the festival so far has been inspiring, and we feel so lucky to be adding even more new talent to Risen.

"We exist to champion these up and coming artists in underrepresented groups in the electronic music industry and set meaningful change for 2022 and onwards, hopefully with the love and support of all music fans behind us. The dance floor is open to all, and we hope to see Risen full of people who support our mission."
