Joe Armon-Jones to release 'Turn to Clear View' next month
His sophomore album is out September 20 on Brownswood Records
Jazz keyboardist and member of the London-based jazz ensemble Ezra Collective, Joe Armon-Jones, will release his sophomore album, titled 'Turn to Clear View', on September 20 via Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings.
According to the press release, the eight-tracker blurs "the lines between bass-heavy dub, contemporary club culture and his background as a pioneering force in the modern jazz scene," with additional "flourishes of R&B, hip-hop and p-funk."
The project features a long list of collaborators, which range from saxophonist Nubya Garcia and rising Nigerian artist Obongjayar to UK hip hop legend Jehst.
You can pre-order the project on Bandcamp now. Check out lead single 'Yellow Dandelion' (featuring Georgia Anne Muldrow on vocals) below.
