Listen to '44th Floor', the first single off Jehst's new album
Production comes curtesy of The Maghreban
London-based rapper and graffiti artist Jehst has dropped a new track off his upcoming album 'Billy Green is Dead'.
The album was inspired by the Gil Scott-Heron song of the same name and follows a fictional everyman as he travels through an uncaring, individualistic world.
Lead track '44th Floor' was produced by the The Maghreban, whose dubbed out drum track straddles the sounds of house and hip hop. It's a track that finds protagonist Billy at breaking point.
'Billy Green is Dead' is the first material from Jehst, otherwise known as William 'Billy' Shields, in over six years and is set for release on June 16 via his own record label, YNR Productions.
