Honey Dijon reveals details of forthcoming album ‘Black Girl Magic’

The artist's second album features over 15 different artists and is due for release this November

Honey Dijon has revealed the details of her forthcoming sophomore album, ‘Black Girl Magic’, coming out this November via Defected's Classic Music Company.

The second studio record from Honey Dijon is set to feature more than 15 vocalists, producers, and songwriters, from Channel Tres to Josh Caffé, and span a multitude of genres.

‘Black Girl Magic’ is due for release on November 18. Across the album’s 15 tracks, Honey explores "attitude, energy, heart and community".

“This album is dedicated to love,” she says of the new record. “Love of music, community, but most of all the love of self. Being true to who you are in spite of everything else and having the courage to love fearlessly.”

‘Show Me Some Love’, the final track to be released ahead of the new album, came last week featuring vocals from both Channel Tres and Sadie Walker.

Speaking on the single, Channel Tres explained that he worked remotely with Honey to bring the track together. “I had a lot of fun working with Honey on this track, and it's been fun through each step of the process,” he said.

“We weren’t together so it’s always exciting to see where a collaborator will take the record when you send your parts over and this one was definitely special to me. It’s everything I love about underground dance music confident, and sexy."
