Fatboy Slim brings out Derry Girls cast members at club night in Derry
The TV show previously aired an episode centred around a Fatboy Slim gig
Fatboy Slim brought out cast members from the TV show Derry Girls at his show in Derry on Saturday night, October 21.
Surprising fans, Fatboy Slim invited Saoirse-Monica Jackson (who plays Erin) and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell (who plays Michelle) to join him on stage.
Setting off rave horns, Jackson and O'Donnell danced beside Fatboy Slim behind the decks at his show at Derry’s new venue Unit 8 Warehouse in the Pennyburn Industrial Estate.

Previously the Channel 4 comedy series Derry Girls aired its finale with a narrative around the characters attending a Fatboy Slim gig. Set in 1997, the concluding episode of the series saw the characters desperately trying to get hold of tickets to the British DJ's headline set at St Columb's Hall.
Fatboy tracks 'Gangster Trippin', 'Right Here, Right Now', 'The Rockafeller Skank' and 'Praise You' all feature in the episode.
Sharing a clip from the night on social media, Fatboy Slim - real name Norman Cook - said: “Life imitates art as the Derry girls join me onstage in Derry.”
Fatboy Slim is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary reissue of his seminal album ‘You’ve Come A Long Way Baby’.

He recently played a surprise show at Alexandra Palace, where he performed on the world’s biggest holographic stage.
In a statement, Fatboy Slim said: “I’m still surprised and gladdened by the response that ‘You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby’ has had. I didn’t see it going global, I thought it was a very ‘English’ sounding record. I definitely did not imagine people would still be talking about it 25 years later. I remember saying as much at the time! Thank you to everyone to has enjoyed it over the years.”
