The Derry Girls finale featured a Fatboy Slim show

Fatboy Slim featured in the finale of Northern Ireland set Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls.

The final episode of the show, which was aired on Tuesday, May 17 (not including the one-hour special, 'The Agreement', which aired on May 18), featured the cast gearing up for an exciting Halloween.

It's 1997 and the characters are trying desperately hard to grab some tickets to a gig at St Columb's Hall - which is headlined by no other than legendary DJ Fatboy Slim.

Halloween is the biggest day in the Derry calendar, with the festivities that take place transcending politics and religion and uniting the community.

Here audiences can see the characters get excited in a way that they've not seen before, as Erin (played by Saoirse-Monica Jackson) describes Fatboy Slim as "bigger than God." "He’s a modern-day Beethoven," she chimes.

"Except good," Orla (played by Louisa Clare Harland) points out.

Emmett Scanlan featured as a man desperate to get tickets for the DJ gig - and was willing to fight James (played by Dylan Llewellyn) over them.

Fatboy tracks 'Gangster Trippin’', 'Right Here, Right Now', 'The Rockafeller Skank' and 'Praise You' all feature.
