DJ Lag drops debut album 'Meeting With The King'

DJ Lag's debut album 'Meet With The King' is out today, alongside single ‘Ikhehla’ ft. Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha.
The gqom pioneer's debut album continues to be "faithful to the idea of experimentation in the underground"

Lead single Ikhehla’, featuring Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha, has a slower and more sensual sound to what fans of the gqom artist are used to. As written in a statement it is the "soundtrack to the after-party of the after-party on a steamy hot Durban night."

In September he released the track 'Lucifer' from the album, which features Lady Du - the voice behind some of the biggest amapiano tracks.
DJ Lag has released 5 EPs. In 2019, he notably collaborated with Beyoncé on a track called 'My Power' on Beyoncé's album, 'The Lion King: The Gift'.
