Birmingham nightclub Snobs is hosting a leaving do for Boris Johnson

The venue promises it will be "one send-off to remember"

Snobs nightclub in Birmingham is hosting a 'Boris Johnson Leaving Party' tonight, to celebrate the Prime Minister's resignation as leader of the Conservative Party.

The venue has described it as "send-off to remember" — posting the party information to their Facebook page, eliciting a flurry of responses and comments from Brummies online.

Over 100 people have already said that they're interested in the event on Facebook, with one user commenting "I'm game, see ya later Boris", while another user comments "best news all day his resignation".

This party comes as a response to the PM stating his intentions to resign as prime minister yesterday (July 7). His decision comes in the midst of many resignations at No. 10 Downing Street.

The club night will take place from 10.30:PM on Friday, July 8, to 3.30:AM on Saturday, July 9 in Snobs nightclub, just off Smallbrook Queensway in Birmingham City Centre.

People living in Birmingham are excited by the prospect of a Boris-themed night out and are keen to celebrate.

"I mean, yeah fuck it why not attend Boris' leaving do!" says one student living in Birmingham. "When presented with an opportunity to make light of something after everything that's gone wrong, we really might as well take everything we've got."

Following a disastrous three days in office during which 59 of his own MPs resigned government over his alleged misstatement of the House of Commons and his apparent knowledge of former Deputy Chief Whip Chris Pincher's history of sexual misconduct; today (July 7) Boris Johnson announced his intention to resign as prime minister after almost three years in office.
