Interval Festival cancels acts after losing venue
The show will go on though
Two weeks ago, Mixmag reported that the full line-up for Romania's Interval Festival had been confirmed.
The five day event is taking place this weekend, but it's with a reduced line-up after the Club Guesthouse venue in Bucharest was deemed unsafe.
As a result, the likes of Nina Kraviz, Ben UFO, Jackmaster, Levon Vincent, Boddika and Tessela will no longer appear at Interval Festival.
On Facebook, Interval said: "The owners of the club have personally contacted the authority responsible with fire safety but despite making all the necessary changes to follow the regulations and laws, they were not allowed to host our event in Guesthouse or any other events until their legal status is clear. Despite all these efforts the 'witch hunt' that these authorities have instated in Bucharest in the past month was both absurd and unstoppable."
The updated schedule for the remainder of the festival can be found here.
This follows the tragic fire that took place at Bucharest's Collectiv nightclub earlier this month, where 32 people died and 179 were injured.
