The team behind London's recently shuttered venue The Cause is throwing a brand new three-day seaside festival this May.
The Cause Seaside Beano heads to the UK holiday park of Pontins, East Sussex, where three days and nights of “non-stop music” will find a new home on the beach of Camber Sands.
“Whilst we continue to work behind the scenes to find a new place we can call home, we've set our sites a little further and decided to throw our very first festival so we can all be together again,” The Cause announced today.

Just four months since the closure of the legendary venue, The Cause’s first venture back into clubland will take place from May 20 - 23 this year.
Also joining the mix is iconic queer night Adonis, as well as Keep Hush, Lobster Theremin, and Machine, each working in partnership with The Cause to host its first-ever festival.
The festival is set to feature six separate areas for music, plus “all the kitsch Great British holiday bells and whistles to boot, pool parties and crazy golf,” they revealed.
The Cause will also bring in a number of showcases from promoters, club nights and events across the UK including JAWDANCE, Midnight People, Abandon Silence, Threads, and more.
“We've still got the artist lineup, more partners & showcases to be announced in phase 2, late Feb,” The Cause added in a post on Instagram.
On New Year’s Eve 2021, The Cause celebrated their last ever club night at the venue’s previous home in Tottenham. The venue had served as a London fixture for some four years.
