Sarah Story and Rhys From The Sticks talk 'Pretending' on latest single
"We're all guilty of it, we love pretending"
Sarah Story has teamed up with Rhys From The Sticks to share new single 'Pretending'.
The track is a bumping tech house affair, as its inviting bassline couples with Rhys' vocals. Written with a specific narrative in mind, it reflects the ongoing discourses of phones on the dancefloor, perceptions of the self within society and the notion of 'being seen'.

Describing the track as "a bit tongue-in-cheek", Story highlighted the moments punters have registered its lyrics on the dancefloor, hoping that it'll have a similar impact ahead of herself and Rhys debuting its live performance at The Warehouse Project and Drumsheds next weekend.
"I wanted to make a statement track, something that reflects how things can feel at the moment," she adds. "We're all guilty of it, we love pretending".
