Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated sixth instalment of its Grand Theft Auto series.
It tells the story of game protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, set in the fictional location of Vice City in Leonida (based on Miami and Florida respectively) which was first introduced in 2002 game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

After Jason picks up Lucia from a stretch in prison, they are shown sharing tender moments, carrying out an armed robbery, partying in a nightclub, ridng a jet ski, and more.
The accompanying description notes: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
A wider cast of characters are also introduced, including Jason’s friend and conspiracy theorist Cal Hampton, entrepreneur Boobie Ike, record label head Dre'Quan Priest, viral rappers Real Dimez AKA Bae-Luxe and Roxy, bank robber Raul Bautista, and drug runner Brian Heder.

In a statement, Rockstar Games said: "We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game.
"With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve."
