Riobamba releases anti-ICE fundraiser compilation via APOCALIPSIS

Latinx bass phenom Riobamba and her APOCALIPSIS label have released 'Sin Fronteras', a 36-track benefit compilation that aims to combat the controversial U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency targeting immigrant communities.

'Sin Fronteras' features artists who stand for those at risk, with 100% of the proceeds going to immigrant defence organisations. Names such as Dave Nada, Helado Negro, Ariel Zetina, Oyasound, Nino Augustine, Atropolis and Ziúr are among those who have contributed.

“It’s important to take action now as we are in critical times. To arm ourselves with universal tools such as music that have the potential to effect change is a powerful weapon. Take action and support this compilation,” states New York-based genre-defying producer Quest?onmarc.

Houston-based DJ Gracie Chavez: “This is an opportunity to be the voice that brings us together and provide channels to inform and educate.”

Ice Cream Social’s Archangel out of Richmond, VA stresses how serious this is for everyone involved: “I hope this can show there are countless ways to support those affected by the crisis and people in danger of being harmed by the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S immigration and Customs enforcement.”

Available exclusively through APOCALIPSIS’ Bandcamp page, the compilation reflects the diversity of backgrounds, genres and styles of those affected by the ongoing persecution: dembow beats sit alongside dancehall en espanol next to globally informed rhythms and soundscapes.
