Kanye West settles legal battle with EMI
The rapper sued the publisher for ownership of his catalogue earlier this year
The lawsuit Kanye West filed against EMI earlier this year over his record deal has been settled by the two parties.
The rapper sued the music publisher earlier this year for ownership of his back catalogue, claiming his record deal was unfair, illegal and should have expired in 2010.
An agreement between the two parties has now been made in principal and the court has been informed, with the case now dismissed.
The settlement is expected to be drafted and finalised within 90 days.
