Melting Pot announce bank holiday weekend line-ups

Melting Pot, one of Glasgow's longest-running club nights, and Heverlee have announced that they will be returning to Glasgow's Southside this Spring for an incredible bank holiday weekend of partying.

Taking place on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 - the event boasts an impressive line-up from the likes of Optimo, Free Love, Greg Wilson and Rebecca Vasmant all scheduled to play.

They will be transforming the lush bounds of Glasgow's Southside, erecting a large scale tent and a Heverlee Villiage, and will have a stage curated by Electric Shores presenting a line-up of amazing local talent, in Queen's Park Recreation Grounds.

The line-up has some of the best names in electronic music, and the DJs will be bringing house, disco and groovy anthems.

Saturday will welcome Optimo (pictured), Free Love, Nightwave, Bemz (live), and Junglehussi b2b Plantainchipps. Sunday will welcome Greg Wilson, Rebecca Vasmant, Simon Cordiner, and Let’s Go Back to the 80s.

There will also be Mini Manoeuvres, a club event for kids and parents, which will also be running across the two days from 12:PM - 3:PM.

Mark Mackechnie, Festival Director, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing the party back to the Southside this year after so many previous sellout events. This year is going to be a special one as we have Optimo celebrating 25 years; as well as an epic disco takeover on Bank Holiday Sunday.

"The new location allows for a real development on what we can do with the Heverlee Village being a prime example. Looking forward to it is an understatement.”

Optimo said: “Optimo was born in Glasgow and thrived due to the unconditional love and support of Glaswegians.

"As we celebrate 25 years of Optimo it was important to us that our celebration was deeply rooted in this amazing city and showcased and supported some of the incredible talent we have in our community here.”
