International DJs are urging Sadiq Khan to save Fabric from closure

It was announced yesterday that fabric would close its doors indefinitely, as its license must be reviewed "within the next 28 days" following the deaths of two teenagers this summer.

The deaths were ruled as drug overdoses and have resulted in a call to action concerning safety policies in London's nightlife.

As the prospect of the iconic club shutting down is now in question, a slew of internationally-famed artists have stood up via social media to urge London Mayor Sadiq Khan to save Fabric.

Among those fighting for the cause are Jamie Jones, George FitzGerald, Eats Everything, Alan Fitzpatrick and more. Sasha exclaims that "London needs Fabric", while Groove Armada say the venue is a "second home" and that it's time for Sadiq Khan to "step up".

A hashtag, '#SaveFabric, has also started to be tweeted in an effort to give momentum to the cause.

Khan has previously expressed his desire to save London's club scene and he's a big supporter of the Night Tube which launches this weekend (August 19).
