Electronic Beats is turning 20 and celebrating with the release of a 300-page book.
The coffee table compendium explores the intersections of electronic music, media and culture and features a host of long-form features and essays.
The Berlin publisher has gotten contributions from Honey Dijon, Dixon, Ellen Allien and Nina Kraviz as well as wider pop culture figures like Bryan Ferry and Billie Eilish. An array of music and culture journalists are involved too, including Electronic Beats' Editor-in-Chief and Mixmag contributor Whitney Wei.
Features include the role of brands and music in a post-label era, the women pioneers of electronic music, how the dancefloor is today’s religious congregation, the development of music in games and virtual escapism during the uncertain year of 2020.
