Dialled In announces Manchester debut at the Nia Centre

South Asian festival and collective Dialled In will be heading to Manchester for the first time this July, with an event at Hulme's Nia Centre (NIAMOS).

Supported by Arts Council funding, as well as a partnership with Mumbai-inspired restaurant chain Dishoom, the event is set to host an expansive multi-genre bill, featuring hip hop, Punjabi garage, R&B, live folk music, UK funky and more — as well as a range of workshops and food stalls.

The event showcases a wide range of talent, including established DJs such as Manara, Arthi, Tash LC, G33 (Girls Don’t Sync), Zaleel, Chandé and more, as well as a special guest appearance from the impactful DJ Radical Sista.

Also set to perform are a selection of live acts, including Indian Classical and R&B artist Kapil Seshasayee, British-Tamil R&B artist Pritt, and hardcore producer Haaji Ka Halva.

The line-up platforms the breadth of South Asian talent, continuing Dialled In's commitment to providing a link between established DJs and underground South Asian creatives, with up-and-coming DJ RSP saying “Dialled In has given me the opportunity to bridge the gap between the sounds of my culture and the sounds that I rave to.”

“Dialled In Manchester feels historic," Dailled In shared in a statement. "For us, it’s like going back to our roots in 2021 in a new territory."

"We wanted to better understand how we can serve our community, and one of the ways we decided to do that is by taking the festival to a new city and wanting to start broadening our horizons outside of London," the statement continues. "This event is the first of many UK-wide activities we will be unveiling over the next two years.”
