Daft Punk have shared footage of Pharrell Williams hearing ‘Get Lucky’ for the first time.
As part of the 10-year anniversary of Daft Punk’s album ‘Random Access Memories’, the duo have been sharing exclusive interviews and footage from those involved in the project.
In the latest episode of Memory Tapes, Pharrell Williams reflects on the process of making ‘Get Lucky’.

The archival footage shows Pharrell hearing the completed versions of ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Lose Yourself to Dance’.
In the exclusive interview, The Neptunes artist explained that he had first thought he was doing demo vocals for someone else to re-create.
The conversation with Pharrell also covers meeting Daft Punk’s manager and Ed Banger Records owner Busy P along with working on his remix of the duo’s ‘Harder Better Stronger’ in 2001.
Other episodes of Memory Tapes include the likes of Chilly Gonzales, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon and Nile Rodgers.

These interviews were recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles and Gang Studios in Paris, which is where Daft Punk spent most of their time working on 'Random Access Memories'.
Recently, Daft Punk have announced a 'Drumless Edition' of their album which will be out on vinyl and all digital streaming platforms on November 17, with the single 'Within' available to listen now.
